Feb 11-12, 2017 – Shalom Retreat by Dr John

Kerala Catholics community in St Louis will be hosting Shalom Festival, a retreat by Dr John and Team from Shalom on February 11  & 12. Dr John (Shalom) is a well-known preacher, hosts spiritual programs in Shalom TV regularly and has conducted many retreats all around the world.

If you’ve considered a retreat in the past, don’t miss this opportunity for an uplifting and fulfilling experience!  We promise you this could be the greatest gift you give yourself!  Please visit the Retreat Registration Site, click on the Register button to register your seats for the retreat.

Registration fee for the retreat is $100 per family or $50 per person. Registration fee will be used for meeting the basic expenses and will be collected when you sign in on Saturday. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Retreat will conclude with a dinner on Sunday evening.

October 30, 2016 – Kerala Day Celebrations 2016

Kerala Day celebration is on Sunday, October 30th. Celebrations will start with the Kerala food festival at noon. Food stalls will open at 12 noon and tentatively go till 3pm or till they are sold out. As usual, we have a variety of traditional dishes. Pathiri and Chicken curry, Kappa and fish, Appam, Kerala meals(vegetarian or with specials), Vattayappam, Beef and Fish cutlets are some of the popular dishes you can get. Later in the afternoon, we also have an array of excellent singers in various Indian languages participating in the Musical night.

October 27, 2016

We are saddened to inform that Joy Simon Mundaplackil, father of Cijo and Mary Ann and grandfather of Jayden and Mason, passed away on Thursday October 27th at 9.45pm at his home in Chicago. His family was with him in the last few days. All his siblings are in the US. He was 70 years old. He is survived by his wife; two children Cijo and Tanya Tim Thakidiyil and grand children. Joy Simon Mundaplackil, was a frequent visitor to St. Louis to be with his son and family; brother Bobby and Anne; nephews Lino and Tijo. Wake and funeral details are not confirmed yet, but expected to be in Chicago on Sunday and Monday respectively. Our heartfelt condolences to the Mundaplackil (Simon) family. Please keep Mundaplackil family in your prayers.

May 29, 2016 – Welcome Norah Ann Jithu

We are happy to let you know that Jithu and Gilu George are blessed with a baby girl! Norah Ann Jithu was born on Sunday May 29th 2016 at 1:56 a.m. Congratulations to the proud parents!
